2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
3 CALIFORNIA, TRANSFERRING $150,000 FROM CITY COUNCIL
CONTINGENCY TO USE TOWARDS CONSULTANT SERVICES
4 RELATED TO APN 212-270-04-00 AND 212-270-05-00
5 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has a long-standing policy of operating an effective and

IQ Municipal Water District), and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council previously directed city staff to maximize the utility of city
12 owned assets, and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad owns vacant parcels (APN # 212-270-04-00 and 212-270-
05-00) adjacent to the Crossings at Carlsbad, commonly referred to as Lots 4 and 5, and
WHEREAS, staff recommends using outside consultant services to assist with the

efficient organization in order to promote the city's fiscal health, and
WHEREAS, in keeping with that policy, in 2011/2012 city staff, at the direcrion of the
City Council, identified and evaluated properties owned by the city and related entity (Carlsbad

17 marketing and development of Lots 4 and 5.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carisbad, California
as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council direct staff to solicit proposals for development of Lots 4 and
5 to their highest potential use.
24 3. That the City Council approve Resolution 2015-105 . transferring $150,000
25 from the City Council Contingency account for use towards consultant services

related to the marketing and development of Lots 4 and 5.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City
of Carisbad on the 21=* day of April 2015, by the following vote to wit:
