A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
3 CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE FUNDING RECOMMENDATIONS OF
THE COMMUNITY ACTIVITY GRANT CITIZEN REVIEW COMMITTEE
4 AND APPROVING THE DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS TO THE
IDENTIFIED ORGANIZATIONS ON A REIMBURSEMENT BASIS ONLY.

The City Council ofthe City of Carlsbad, California, does hereby resolve as follows:

.J WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, appointed a seven-
8 member Citizen Review Committee to review Community Activity Grant applications and to
9 create funding recommendations; and
•'•^ WHEREAS, three (3) applications for funding were received;
WHEREAS, the Citizen Review Committee has recommended all ofthe applicants
receive funding at the levels set forth within this resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:

26 1. The above recitations are true and correct.
17 2. That the following organizations are hereby granted funds in the amounts
-1^ shown from the Community Activity Grants Fund for Fiscal Year 2014-2015 in accordance with
Council Policy 51:
Carlsbad Causes for Community $1,250
CORE Educational Services $3,750
Move Your Feet Before You Eat! Foundation $5,000

3. That the organizations approved for Community Activity grants for Fiscal
Year 2014-2015 shall be required to execute grant agreements with the City of Carlsbad, and shall
be disbursed grant funds on a reimbursement basis only.

5 4. That the Housing and Neighborhood Services Director is authorized to
6 execute said grant agreements for the Community Activity funds, and the Finance Director is
authorized to disburse said grant funds to the organizations approved for Community Activity
grants for Fiscal Year 2014-2015 subject to the approved grant agreements and on
reimbursement basis only.
