2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND
3 AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE
^ 2015 CONCRETE REPLACEMENT PROJECT NO. 6013-15.
5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it
6 necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to replace damaged and unusable concrete in
^ accordance with the city's ongoing Concrete Replacement Program; and

WHEREAS, the contract and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the 2015 Concrete
Replacement Project No. 6013-15, have been prepared and are on file in the Public Works
Department ofthe City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
per CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(c); and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available for completion of the concrete repairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the contract documents for the 2015 Concrete Replacement Project No.
6013-15 are on file in the Public Works Department of the City of Carlsbad and are hereby
approved.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to
publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of
the 2015 Concrete Replacement Project No. 6013-15, in accordance with the contract documents
referred to herein.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting ofthe City Council ofthe City
of Carlsbad on the 9*'' day of June, 2015, by the following vote to wit:
