2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION IN SUPPORT OF THE
CULTURAL ARTS OFFICE AND THE 2015 TGIF CONCERTS IN THE

WHEREAS, The Cultural Arts Office and TGIF Concerts in the Parks have been

7 entertaining residents and visitors alike for 30 years providing the best in local, regional and
8 national talent; and
^ WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Friends ofthe Arts has generously offered to donate
$25,000 to the Cultural Arts Office for FY 2015-16 arts and cultural programs and the 2015 TGIF
Concerts in the Parks concert series; and
WHEREAS, this donation will provide $25,000 for arts and cultural programs and

14 operational services such as shuttle busses, truck rentals, porta-toilets, supplies, and recycling
15 services at the 2015 TGIF Concerts in the Parks
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows that:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the donation of $25,000 from the Carlsbad Friends of
21 the Arts for general arts and cultural programming and to support operational
22 services related to the TGIF concerts.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting ofthe City Council ofthe City
of Carlsbad on the 23^'' day of June, 2015, by the following vote to wit:
