1 RESOLUTION NO. 2015-161
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
3 CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH C&M RELOCATION
4 SYSTEMS, INC. FOR MOVE SERVICES FOR THE LIBRARY
RENOVATION PROJECTS, NOS. 4020 AND 4030.

WHEREAS, Library improvements are necessary to meet the current and future Library
and Cultural Arts services within the City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works solicited qualifications from move firms; and
10 received a total ofthree submittals for move services for the Library Renovation Projects, located
11 at the Carlsbad City Library, 1775 Dove Lane, and the Georgina Cole Library at 1250 Carlsbad

Village Drive; and

WHEREAS, subsequent to review ofthe submittals, staff recommends C&M Relocation
14
Systems, Inc. (C&M) as the most qualified mover for the project; and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends the C&M proposal to provide move services for the Library
17 Renovation Projects for an amount not to exceed $175,720.00 be approved; and
WHEREAS, funding for said project has previously been appropriated from the General
Capital Construction Fund and Infrastructure Replacement Fund in the amount of $11,346,529
from Project Nos. 4020 and 4030; and
WHEREAS, the City Council ofthe City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it necessary

23 and in the public interest to enter into an agreement with C&M;
24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the qualifications and price submitted by C&M for move services for the Library
Renovation Projects, Nos. 4020 and 4030, are acceptable and the Mayor is hereby
authorized to execute a professional services agreement with C&M for said services.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting ofthe City Council ofthe City
of Carlsbad on the 23^" day of June, 2015, by the following vote to wit:
