3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CAUFORNIA, RATIFYING AN EXTENSION AND AMENDMENTTO THE
4 AGREEMENT FOR MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR INTERFAITH
COMMUNITY SERVICES TO OPERATE THE CARLSBAD HIRING
CENTER ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
The City Council ofthe City of Carlsbad, California, does hereby resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that Interfaith Community Services
has performed in a satisfactory manner during the first year of its contract with the City of
Carlsbad to operate the Carlsbad Hiring Center; and
11 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires for Interfaith Community Services to
12 provide an expanded scope of services to manage and operate the Hiring Center, and Interfaith
Community Services has agreed to do so with appropriate compensation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need for an increase in the contract
amount ofthe agreement with Interfaith Community Services for additional services performed
and to maintain a high level of service to the community; and

WHEREAS, the adopted Hiring Center operating budget has sufficient funds to
19 absorb the increase and no further impact on the General Fund is anticipated.
20 WHEREAS, the other provisions of the current agreement remain in full force and
affect; and
WHEREAS, the ratification of amendment No. 1 to extend and amend agreement
will address services through June 30, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has taken all testimony into account.

2g NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
27 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
28 1. The above recitations are true and correct.

2. The Carlsbad City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute
the Management Services agreement with Interfaith Community Services for FY 2015-2016 for
operations of the Carlsbad Hiring Center on behalf of the City of Carlsbad, California.
