2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE PU\NS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
^ AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE
4 2015 SLURRY SEAL PROJECT NO. 6001-15SS.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it
6
^ necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to resurface various streets in accordance with the
g city's ongoing Pavement Management Program; and
9 WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
1^ equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the 2015 Slurry Seal
^ ^ Project No. 6001-15SS, have been prepared and are on file in the Public Works Department of the

City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein by reference; and

WHEREAS, the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
15 per CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(c); and
16 WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available for construction ofthe project.
^'7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,

California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the plans and specifications for the 2015 Slurry Seal Project No. 6001-15SS

22 are on file in the Public Works Department ofthe City of Carlsbad and are hereby approved.
23 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to
24 publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of
the 2015 Slurry Seal Project No. 6001-15SS, in accordance with the contract documents referred

to herein.

1 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City
2 of Carlsbad on the 28th day of July, 2015, by the following vote to wit:
