CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL FOR THE
POLICE CHIEF TO ATTEND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF
4 CHIEFS OF POLICE ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS

WHEREAS, the City Council concurs that it is in the public interest to authorize
out-of-state travel for the police chief to attend the annual International Association of Chiefs
of Police conference in Chicago, Illinois in order to share experiences, exchange best practices,
learn about emerging issues in law enforcement and view the latest technologies; and
^ WHEREAS, the Police Department has funds in the FY2015-16 budget to pay the

14 1. The above recitations are true and correct.
15 2. That out-of-state travel is hereby authorized in accordance with city policy for
the police chief to attend the annual International Association of Chiefs of Police
conference in Chicago, Illinois, October 24 to 27, 2015.
