2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE AN AGREEMENT FOR
LIBRARY SHELVING SERVICES WITH J.K. MIKLIN, INC IN AN
4 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $145,300 FOR THE LIBRARY
RENOVATION PROJECTS, PROJECT NOS. 4020 AND 4030.

WHEREAS, City requires the professional services of a library shelving services contractor
that is experienced in library shelving removal, inventory and reinstallation services for Library
Renovation Projects Nos. 4020 and 4030; and
10 WHEREAS, the Library & Cultural Arts Department solicited requests for proposals and
11 received two submittals from qualified firms; and
^2 WHEREAS, staff reviewed the submittals and negotiated an agreement with J.K. Miklin,

Inc. (d.b.a. Yamada Enterprises), which staff recommends executing; and
14
WHEREAS, funding for the agreement is available in the project budgets for Library
15
j^ Renovation Projects Nos. 4020 and 4030.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Carlsbad, California
18 asfollows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the qualifications and price submitted by J.K. Miklin, Inc. (d.b.a., Yamada
21
Enterprises) for library shelving services are acceptable and the Mayor is hereby
23 authorized to execute a professional services agreement with J.K. Miklin, Inc. (d.b.a.,
24 Yamada Enterprises) for a not to exceed amount of $145,300.

1 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City
2 of Carlsbad on the 25*^ day of August, 2015, by the following vote to wit:
