A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING UP TO THIRTY ADDITlOyfl. DAYS
FROM THE AUGUST 18, 2015, CITY COUNCIL CERTIF^TION OF
THE RESULTS OF THE REGISTRAR OF VOTER^UFFICIENCY
EXAMINATION, TO FURTHER STUDY THE 921? REPORT AND
CONSIDER THE EFFECTS OF THE AGUA HEDIONDA SOUTH SHORE
SPECIFIC PLAN INITIATIVE MEASURE
WHEREAS, on May 19, 2015, the City GCuncil adopted Resolution No. 2015-127
authorizing the city staff to initiate the preparation of a report pursuant to Elections Code
9212 (9212 report) forthe Agua Hedionda^outh St 3n Initiative Measure; and.
WHEREAS, city staff was aothorized to requeza depoit from the initiative
proponent's primary sponsor for/ne preparation^the 9212 repitrtfand,
WHEREAS, city staff^as authorized to contr^J^with consultants as necessary to
complete the 9212 Repqj^; and.
WHEREAS, tl^9212 Repoj;t wak completeci by city staff and made available to the

a regularly scheduled City Council meeting, the City
certifying the results of the Registrar of Voters
sufficj/ncy examination on the petition filed forthe Agua Hedionda South Shore Specific Plan
Initiative Measure; and,
WHEREAS, at the regularly scheduled August 25, 2015, City Council meeting, the City
Council received a presentation on the 9212 Report prepared for the Agua Hedionda South
Shore Specific Plan Initiative Measure.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the above recitations are true ancJ^rrect.
SECTION 2. That the City Council is hereby aufnorizing up to thirty additional days
from the August 18, 2015, City Council certificatiy ofthe results ofthe Registrar of Voters
Sufficiency Examination, to further study theyB212 Report and consider the effects of the
Agua Hedionda South Shore Specific Plan Irtrtiative Measure.
SECTION 3. That the 9212 Reo/xX and the Agua Hedionda South Shore Specific Plan
Initiative will be placed on agenda^f the City of ncil for consideration by
uncil certification ofthe the City Council within thirty da^s from the August 18, 20
results ofthe Registrar of Voters Sufficiency Exai\nation
