2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, TO ACCEPT TEMPORARY TRANSFER OF VEHICULAR
EQUIPMENT TYPE-3 ENGINE

5 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad Fire Department participates in The California Fire Service
6 and Rescue Emergency Mutual Aid Plan; and
WHEREAS, Carlsbad Fire Department has been selected to receive a 2015 HME Model#34
Type 3 Fire Engine and equipment valued at $272,000 from Cal OES; and
WHEREAS, Carlsbad Fire Department agrees to provide adequate housing, staffing,
11 insurance and mutual aid response in return for the temporary transfer and use ofthe vehicle
12 and equipment.
WHEREAS, Carlsbad Fire Department proposes the acceptance ofthe agreement for the
temporary transfer of vehicular equipment type-3 engine.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED bythe City Council ofthe City of Carlsbad, California,
as follows:

18 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
19 2. That the City of Carlsbad acceptsthetemporary transfer of vehicular equipment
20 type-3 engine.
