RESOLUTION NO. 2015-285
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
LEASE AGREEMENT WITH TERRACARE ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR A
PARK MAINTENANCE BUILDING LOCATED WITHIN AVIARA PARK
(6440 AMBROSIA LANE)
EXHIBIT I
WHEREAS, Terracare Associates, Inc. was awarded a contract for parks maintenance
services for the City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, the facility within Aviara Community Park was vacated by city staff in July
2014;and
WHEREAS, Terracare Associates, Inc. expressed interest in leasing the facility within
Aviara Community Park; and
WHEREAS, city staff negotiated a lease for said property for one year with four
additional one-year options; and
WHEREAS, the Lease Agreement will generate $1,500 per month in revenue for the city
plus an additional $150 per month to cover utilities; and
WHEREAS, the council authorizes the City Manager to execute the Lease Agreement on
behalf of the city for a term of one year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Lease Agreement with
Terracare Associates, Inc. for a term of one year.
