RESOLUTION NO. 2015-302
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A NEW RATE STRUCTURE AND
PROPOSED INCREASES IN WASTEWATER RATES
EXHIBIT 1
WHEREAS, the California Constitution Article XIII D §6(A)(2) states that local governments
must hold a Public Majority Protest Hearing, and notify customers not less than 45 days in
advance of increases in wastewater rates; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is proposing a new wastewater rate structure and
wastewater rate increases, effective Jan. 1, 2016; and
WHEREAS, on October 13, 2015, Carlsbad residents and property owners were notified
by mail of the proposed new wastewater rate structure and increases in wastewater rates,
thereby complying with the advance notice requirement of forty-five days; and
WHEREAS, on Dec. 1, 2015, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad held a Public Hearing
and approved a new wastewater rate structure and increases in wastewater rates.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California,
as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, approves a new wastewater
rate structure and wastewater rate increases, effective Jan. 1, 2016.
