RESOLUTION NO. 2015-304
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
THE DOVE LIBRARY EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS AND
AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF INVITATIONS FOR BIDS, PROJECT
NO. 4030.
WHEREAS, city facilities are necessary to meet the current and future Library & Cultural
Arts services within the City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to renovate exterior
portions of the Carlsbad City Library (Dove Library), Project No. 4030, have been prepared and are
on file in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein by
reference; and
WHEREAS, funding for said project has previously been appropriated from the General
Capital Construction Funds in the amount of $11,346,529; and
WHEREAS, payment of prevailing wages will be required as part of the subsequent
construction contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents for Dove Library exterior
improvements Project No. 4030 are on file in the Public Works Department of the City of
Carlsbad and are hereby approved.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to publish,
in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the Dove Library exterior
improvements Project No. 4030, in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract
documents referred to herein.
