HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015-12-15; City Council; Resolution 2015-310EXHIBIT I RESOLUTION NO. 2015-310 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING NEW JOB CLASSIFICATIONS, REVISING JOB CLASSIFICATIONS AND AMENDING THE GENERAL EMPLOYEES SALARY SCHEDULE AND THE MANAGEMENT SALARY SCHEDULE WHEREAS, it is necessary to adopt the classifications, Senior Code Enforcement Officer, salary grade 78, update the job titles of Code Compliance Specialist I and Code Compliance Specialist II to Code Enforcement Officer I and Code Enforcement Officer II and to revise the job classification of Meter Services Worker II ; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to adopt the job classifications City Clerk Services Manager, management salary grade 5; Programs and Venues Coordinator, management salary grade 2; Graphic Production Supervisor, management salary grade 1 and to revise the job classification of Real Estate Manager; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to eliminate the job classifications Assistant City Clerk and Gallery Curator; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to revise the General Employees' Salary Schedule to reflect the above changes; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to revise the Management Salary Schedule to reflect the above changes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the city adopt the new job classification and title Senior Code Enforcement Officer, salary grade 78; and the job classification titles Code Enforcement Officer I and Code Enforcement Officer II, and remove the job classification titles Code Compliance Specialist I and Code Compliance Specialist II, and adopt revised job classification for Meter Services Worker II. 3. That the city adopt the management job titles and job classifications City Clerk Services Manager, management salary grade 5; Programs and Venues Coordinator, management salary grade 2; Graphics Production Supervisor, management salary grade 1; and adopt the revised management job classification Real Estate Manager. 4. That the city eliminate the job classifications Assistant City Clerk and Gallery Curator. 5. That the General Employees Salary Schedule be changed to reflect the title and salary changes. 6. That the Management Salary Schedule be changed to reflect the title and salary changes. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 15th day of December 2015, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Council Members Hall, Blackburn, Schumacher, Wood, Packard.
