RESOLUTION NO. 2016-037
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE
ARTS COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the term of Commissioner Sherman De Forest expires in March 2016, and
WHEREAS, Mr. De Forest was appointed in July, 2005 to replace Commissioner Kelvin
Okamoto. Mr. De Forest was subsequently reappointed in 2008 and 2012, and is not eligible for
reappointment, and
WHEREAS, there will be a vacancy on the Arts Commission in March, 2016.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California,
as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following person is hereby appointed to serve on the Arts Commission for a
term commencing in March, 2016 and ending in March, 2020.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad on the 23rd day of February 2016, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Hall, Wood, Schumacher, Blackburn, Packard.

ABSENT: None.
