RESOLUTION NO. 2016-094
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING OUT OF STATE
TRAVEL FOR SENIOR ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEY TO
ATTEND A CONFERENCE IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
EXHIBIT 1
WHEREAS, the City Council promotes and supports continuous learning
opportunities which are of value to the City and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, Senior Assistant City Attorney Edmonson requests to attend a
conference on Emerging Legal Trends: Body Cameras, Citizen Recordings and Social Media in

Las Vegas, Nevada; and

WHEREAS, the approximate cost of the conference is $750 and the City Attorney's
budget has the funds necessary to cover the expenses for attendance to this conference.

13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 15
16 2. That the out of state travel is hereby authorized, in accordance with Council
17 Policy No. 2 for Senior Assistant City Attorney Edmonson to attend the Emerging Legal Trends
18 conference on June 13-14, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
