RESOLUTION NO. 2016-103
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING A DONATION OF
$25,000 FROM THE CARLSBAD FRIENDS OF THE ARTS TO THE
CULTURAL ARTS OFFICE AND AUTHORIZING THE
ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR TO APPROPRIATE THE
RECEIVED FUNDS
EXHIBIT 1
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Friends of the Arts has generously offered to donate $25,000 to
the City of Carlsbad's Cultural Arts Office to support FY 2016-2017 arts programs and the 2016
TGIF Concerts in the Park, and
WHEREAS, acceptance of this donation will provide partial funding for a number of arts
and cultural programs, as well as partial funding for the 2016 TGIF Concerts in the Parks,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California as
follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $25,000 from the Carlsbad Friends of the
Arts and directs a letter of thanks, on behalf of all residents of Carlsbad, and
hereby authorizes the Administrative Services Director to appropriate the received
funds.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad on the 14th day of June, 2016, by the following vote to.wit:
AYES: Hall, Wood, Schumacher, Blackburn, Packard.
NOES: None.
