1 RESOLUTION NO.2016-169
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD,CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING THREE MEMBERS TO
THE BEACH PRESERVATION COMMITTEE.

5 WHEREAS,the terms of Committee Members Linda Petrucci, Norelynn Pion-Goureau and
6 Shelley Sander expired in June 2016, and
7 WHEREAS,there is currently three vacancies on the Beach Preservation Committee, and
8
WHEREAS, Ms. Petrucci was appointed in July 2012 and is eligible to serve a second four-
year term; and
9
WHEREAS, Ms. Petrucci has requested to be re-appointed for another four-year term; and
10
WHEREAS,Ms.Pion -Goureau was appointed in August 2012 and is eligible to serve a
11 second four-year term; and
12 WHEREAS,Ms.Pion-Goureau has requested to be re-appointed for another four-year
13 term; and
14 WHEREAS,Ms. Sander was appointed in May 2013 to fulfill the unexpired term of Pieter
15 de Monchy; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Sander does not wish to be re-appointed.

NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California,

as follows:
18 1.That the above recitations are true and correct.
19 2.That the following individuals are hereby appointed to serve on the Beach
20 Preservation Committee for a term ending in June, 2020.

22 Norelynn Pion -Goureau (Re-appointed)

1 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
2 Carlsbad on the 26th day of July, 2016, by the following vote to wit:
