RESOLUTION NO. 2016-220
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING THREE MEMBERS TO THE PARKS & RECREATION
COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Commission Members Ron Withall, Roy Meenes and Diane Proulx terms expired in
August 2016; and
WHEREAS,there are currently three vacancies on the Parks & Recreation Commission, and
WHEREAS,Commissioner Withall was appointed in October 2011 to replace Commissioner
Farley,for a term expiring in August 2012.He was subsequently reappointed in August of 2012 for a
term expiring in August of 2016; and
WHEREAS,Commissioner Meenes was appointed in August 2012 to replace Commissioner
Cooper, for a term expiring in August 2016; and
WHEREAS,both Commissioner Withall and Meenes are eligible for reappointment for another
term; and
WHEREAS,Commissioner Proulx was appointed in September 2008 to replace Nora George;
and
WEREAS,Commissioner Proulx has served two full terms and is not eligible for reappointment.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California,as
follows:
1.That the above recitations are true and correct.
2.That the following Carlsbad residents are hereby appointed to serve on the Parks &
Recreation Commission, for a term ending in August 2020.

PASSED,APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad on the 25th day of October, 2016, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES:Hall, Wood, Schumacher, Blackburn, Packard.
NOES:None.
