A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION
COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the term of Commissioner Laurie Boone expired in April 2017; and
Exhibit 1
WHEREAS, there is a vacancy on the Historic Preservation Commission as of April 2017, and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Boone was initially appointed in February 2014 to fill Commissioner
Joyce Smith's unexpired term; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Boone has served a portion of an unexpired term and is eligible for
reappointment; and,
WHEREAS, Commissioner Boone has requested reappointment to the Historic Preservation
Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following Carlsbad resident is hereby appointed to serve on the Historic
Preservation Commission, for a term ending in April 2021.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad on the 23rd day of May, 2017, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: M. Hall, K. Blackburn, M. Schumacher, C. Schumacher, M. Packard.
NOES: None.
