A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING NEW MEMBERS TO THE CITY OF CARLSBAD'S
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) CITIZEN ADVISORY
COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the Citizen Participation Plan for Carlsbad's Community Development Block Grant
Program specifies the formation of a seven member citizen advisory committee to make
recommendations regarding CDBG funding allocations to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Citizen Participation Plan further specifies that the composition by the following:
one Housing Commissioner, one Planning Commissioner, one Senior Commissioner, and four resident
representatives from City Council District 1, 2, 3, and 4; and
WHEREAS, the CDBG Citizen Advisory Committee appointees shall voluntarily serve two years
of service; and
WHEREAS, there are currently five vacancies on the CDBG Citizen Advisory Committee to be
appointed by the Mayor, with the concurrence of the full City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following resident of Carlsbad is hereby appointed to the CDBG Citizen Advisory
Committee with a term expiring in May of 2021:
City Council District 3 Rebecca Tam
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting ofthe City Council ofthe City of
Carlsbad on the 19th day of March 2019, by the following vote, to wit:
