A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING THE FORMATION OF A CITY COUNCIL AD-HOC SUBCOMMITTEE
TO RECEIVE INFORMATION AND ADVISE THE CITY COUNCIL ON COMMUNITY
CHOICE ENERGY
Exhibit 1
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California has determined that formation of
a City Council ad-hoc subcommittee is needed to receive information and advise the City Council on
Community Choice Energy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California as
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That a City Council ad-hoc subcommittee comprised of the following two City Council
members is hereby formed:
(a) Mayor Hall; (b) Council Member Schumacher
3. That the duties of the ad-hoc subcommittee will include receiving information and
advising the City Council on Community Choice Energy; and
4. That the ad-hoc subcommittee will automatically be dissolved either on June 24, 2020,
or upon City Council adoption of an ordinance establishing a Carlsbad Community Choice
Energy program, whichever occurs earlier.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad on the 25th day of June, 2019, by the following vote, to wit:
