A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Commissioner Sam Souri was initially appointed to the Historic Preservation
Commission in May 2018; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Souri resigned on May 1, 2019; and
WHEREAS, an unscheduled vacancy on the Historic Preservation Commission exists.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following Carlsbad resident is hereby appointed to serve on the Historic
Preservation Commission, for a term ending in April 2021.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad on the 27th day of August 2019, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Hall, Bhat-Patel, Blackburn, Schumacher, Hamilton.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
