DESIGN REVIEW BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 048
A RESOLUTION OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA APPROVING A REDEVELOPMENT PERMIT
TO ALLOW AN AUTO REPAIR SERVICE ON PROPERTY GENERALLY
LOCATED AT 3163 ROOSEVELT STREET.
APPLICANT: CARLSBAD AUTO SERVICE, INC.
CASE: NO.: RP 85-8
WHEREAS, a verified application has been filed with the
City of Carlsbad and referred to the Design Review Board; and
WHEREAS , said verified application constitutes a request
as provided by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code: and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Code,
the Design Review Board did on the 10th day of April, 1985,
hold a hearing to consider said application on property described
as :
Parcel 1 of parcel map 2438 City of Carlsbad.
WHEREAS, at said hearing, upon hearing and considering
all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring
to be heard, said Board considered all factors relating to RP85-8.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Design Review
Board of the City of Carlsbad, as follows:
A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing,
the Board APPROVES RP 85-8 based on the following findings.
Findings :
1) The proposed project satisfies all the development standards
and design criteria of V-R (RP) Zone.
2) That the proposed project is compatible with the goals and policies of the Village Design Manual and the City of Carlsbad General Plan.
3) That the project is compatible with the surrounding uses.

4) All repair work and auto/equipment storage shall take place inside the building.
5) The property frontage along Roosevelt Street shall be
landscaped to the approval of the Redevelopment Manager.
6) Screening shall be installed along the Tyler Street frontage.
7) Approval is expressly for mechanical auto repair and NOT
for auto body repair.
8) Hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday 7:OO AM to 6:OO PM.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Design Review Board of the City of Carlsbad, California, held
on the 10th day of April, 1985, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Commissioners McCoy, Marcus, Rombotis , and Schlehuber .
NOES : None
ABSTAIN: None
