HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-01-15; Design Review Board; Resolution 065e. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 DESIGN REVIEW BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 065 A RESOLUTION OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A MINOR REDEVELOPMENT PERMIT TO REMOVE AN EXISTING STRUCTURE ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF STATE AND ELM AND CONSTRUCT A TEMPORARY SALES INFORMATION FACILITY FOR TAMARACK BEACH RESORT. APPLICANT: WAVE CREST I1 CASE NO. : RP 86-1 WHEREAS, a verified application has been filed with the City of Carlsbad, California and referred to the Design Review Board; and WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request as provided by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Code, the Design Review Board did on the 15th day of January, 1986, hold a public hearing to consider said application on property described as: Lots 1, 2 and 3 in Block I of Seaside Lands Map #1722, Town of Carlsbad in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California. WHEREAS, at said public hearing upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Board considered all factors relating to RP 86-1. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Design Review Board of the City of Carlsbad, as follows: A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct. B) That based on the evidence presented at the public meeting, the Board APPROVED RP 86-1, based on the following findings and subject to the following conditions: //// p. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 a 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 FINDINGS: 1) The proposed project satisfies all the development standards and design criteria of the V-R (RP) Zone. 2) That the proposed project is compatible with the goals and policies of the Village Design Manual. 3) That the project is compatible with the surrounding uses. CONDITIONS: 4) Redevelopment Permit be subject to a time limit of 18 months for proposed use, commencing date of occupancy of temporary sales facility. 5) Approval is granted for RP 86-1, as shown on Exhibit "A" dated November 26, 1985, incorporated by reference and on file in the Redevelopment Office. Development shall occur substantially as shown unless otherwise noted in these conditions. 6) Approval of this request shall not excuse compliance with all sections of the Zoning Ordinance and all other applicable City ordinances in effect at the time of building permit issuance. 7) All landscaped areas shall be maintained in a healthy and thriving condition, free from weeds, trash, and debris. 8) Any signs proposed for this project shall be designed in conformance with the City's Sign Ordinance and shall require review and approval of the Redevelopment Manager prior to installation of such signs. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Design Review Board of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 15th day of January, 1986, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Commissioners McCoy, Marcus, Holmes, and Schlehuber .
