HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-10-15; Design Review Board; Resolution 086- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 J DESIGN REVIEW BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 086 A RESOLUTION OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DENYING A REDEVELOPMENT PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT A SINGLE STORY 8,470 SQUARE FOOT CENTRAL OFFICE BUILDING ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ON A 32,821 SQUARE FOOT LOT AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LAGUNA DRIVE AND ROOSEVELT STREET. APPLICANT: CHANDLER CASE NO: RP-86-6 WHEREAS, a verified application has been filed with the !ity of Carlsbad and referred to the Design Review Board: and WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request is provided by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code: and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal :ode, the Design Review Board did, on the 15th day of 3ctober , 1986, hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider raid application on property described as: That portion of Lot 20 of Seaside Lands, in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, according to map thereof No. 1722, filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, July 28, 1921. WHEREAS, at said hearing, upon hearing and considering ill testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be ieard, said Board considered all factors relating to RP-86-6. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Design Review 3oard of the City of Carlsbad as follows: :A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct. :B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, the Board denies RP-86-6, based on the following findings and subject to the following conditions: /// 4 1 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 20 Findings: 1. That the applicant would not accept certain conditions of project approval requiring: a. That no new driveway face onto ROOSeVelt Street. b. That reciprocal access with the property to the south be c. Half-street improvements with transitions on Laguna Drive obtained. and Roosevelt Street. 2. That the project would be detrimental to the Public Health Safety and Welfare if the conditions of approval were not met by the applicant. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Design Review Board of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the day of , 1986, by the following vote, to wit: Board Members AYES : Rombotis , Hall, Holmes, McCoy, Schlehuber NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: ATTEST: G CHRW SALOMONE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT MANAGER DRB RES0 NO. 086 -2- /
