HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-03-25; Design Review Board; Resolution 099., 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 099 A RESOLUTION OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A MINOR REDEVELOPMENT PERMIT TO ALLOW INTERIOR Il@ROVEMENTS FOR A MOBILE TELEPHONE, AUTO RADIO, AND WINDOW TINTING RETAIL SALES, SERVICE AND INSTALLATION OUTLET AT AN EXISTING BUILDING LOCATED AT 920 ELM AVENUE. APPLICANT: JOSEPH H. MYERS, SR CASE NO.: RP 87-1 WHEREAS, a verified application has been filed with the City of Carlsbad and referred to the Design Review Board; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Code, the Design Review Board did on the 25th day of March, 1987, hold a meeting to consider said application on property described as: Lot 1 through 4, Block 67 of Town of Carlsbad, Amended, City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego on file with the County Recorder's Office. WHEREAS, at said meeting upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Board considered all factors relating to RP 87-1. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Design Review Board of the City of Carlsbad, as follows: A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct. B) That based on the evidence presented at the meeting, the Board recommends APPROVAL of RP 87-1, based on the following findings and subject to the following conditions: FINDINGS 1) The proposed project satisfies all the development 2) That the proposed project is compatible with the goals standards and design criteria of the V-R Zone. and policies of the Village Design Manual. 3) That the project is compatible with the surrounding uses. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 a 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 CONDITIONS: All uses shall be conducted wholly within the building. Storage shall be limited to equipment necessary for product installation and accessory storage of commodities sold at retail on the premises. All storage shall be housed within the building. Surrounding grounds, including parking areas, shall be maintained in a neat and orderly condition at all times. The project shall comply with all applicable building code provisions. All signage shall require approval of the Community Redevelopment Manager.
