HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-02-21; Design Review Board; Resolution 153c 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 k DESIGN REVIEW BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 153 A RESOLUTION OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A REDEVELOPMENT PERMIT AMENDMENT TO ALLOW A NEW DELI-TYPE BUSINESS TO BE USED PRIMARILY FOR IN-HOUSE NEEDS AND TAKE-OUT SERVICE ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF CARLSBAD BOULEVARD AT 3001 CARLSBAD BOULEVARD. CASE NAME: THE DELI NEWS CASE NO.: RP 84-3(D) WHEREAS, a verified application has been filed with t,,e C Carlsbad and referred to the Design Review Board; and ty of WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request as provided by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the Design Review Board did on the 7th day of February, 1990, and the 21st day of February, 1990, consider said request; and WHEREAS, at said hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Board considered all factors relating to RP 84-3(d). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Design Review Board of the City of Carlsbad as follows: (A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct. (B) That based on the evidence presented at the hearing, the Board APPROVES RP 84-3(d), based on the following findings and subject to the following conditions: Fi ndi nqs : 1. The project is consistent with the goals and objectives of the Village Design Manual. 2. 3. The project meets all the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance. The proposed project will contribute to the economic revitalization of the Redevelopment Area. 4. All signs must be processed through the Planning Department and must be reviewed and approved by the Planning Director and the Redevelopment Director. The deli will offer primarily in-house service and take-out. All food and drinks shall be served inside the facility. Primary service shall be food. Hours of operation will be limited to 6:30 a.m. to 1O:OO p.m. Beer and wine may be served in glasses and bottles. The service format will be as follows: Order is taken at counter, food is prepared for eat-in or take-out, customer is called back to counter for purchase pick-up. No table service will be allowed. No receptions shall be held in the facility. Limiting number of tables by floor plan to 9 tab es, to the satisfaction of the Redevelopment Director, as shown on Exhib t IlY". If any of the conditions of this RP are violated, the project is subject to review by the Design Review Board.
