HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT CO"I§SION RESOLUTION NO. 22
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARISBAD, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR
ADDITIONAL SECTION 8 HOUSING UNITS AND AUTHORIZING
THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR TO EXECUTI
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has
issued a Notice of Funding Availability for additional Section 8 Housing units; anc
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is committed to continuing to provide lo
income housing in the City as is outlined in the Housing Element of the General P
and in the Comprehensive Housing Affordability Strategy (CHAS), a five year pla
increase assisted housing which is required by HUD.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Housing anc
Redevelopment Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The Housing and Redevelopment Commission hereby approves the submitt;
an application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
apply for fifty (50) additional units of Section 8 Existing Housing.
3. The Housing and Redevelopment Commission hereby authorizes the Housil
and Redevelopment Director to execute documents required for the submitt
of said application for additional Section 8 Existing Housing units.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Housing and Redevelopment Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held
the 17th day of AUGUST 9 1993, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Commissioners Lewis, Stanton, Nygaard, Finnila
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioner Kulchin
ABSTAIN: None
