HOUSING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 94-007
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPROPRIATION
OF AN ADDITIONAL $23,000.00 FOR SECTION 8
HOUSING ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS FOR THOSE
TENANTS WHO MOVE TO THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
FROM THE JURISDICTION OF OTHER HOUSING
AUTHORITIES
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has
implemented a system which allows Section 8 Program Tenants to move to the City of Carlsbad
from the jurisdiction of other Housing Authorities; and
WHEREAS, the amount of money budgeted for Housing Assistance Payments on behalf
of those Tenants is insufficient to provide payments through the end of fiscal year 1993-94; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the appropriation of an additional $23,000.00 will be
sufficient to make payments through the end of the fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Housing Commission of
the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Housing Commission hereby recommends the approval of an additional
$23,000.00 for Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments for those Section 8 Program
Tenants who elect to move to the City of Carlsbad from the jurisdiction of other Housing
Authorities. ...

PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Housing
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California held on the 10th day of March, 1994, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Scarpelli, Sato, Avis, Calverly, Peterson, Escobedo
