HOUSING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO 94-008
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF THE APPROPRIATION OF $30,000.00 FROM
THE SECTION 8 RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM’S OPERATING
RESERVES ACCOUNT AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO DISTRIBUTE
A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR CONTRACTUAL SERVICES
TO ADMINISTER THE FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Family Self-sufficiency Program is a mandate of the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to be administered by the Carlsbad Housing
Authority; and
WHEREAS, HUD does not provide administrative fees for the operations of the
Family Self-sufficiency Program; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority requires contractual staff assistance to administer the
Section 8 Family Self-sufficiency program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Housing
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The Housing Commission hereby recommends the approval of the appropriation of
$30.000.00 from the Section 8 Rental Assistance Program’s operating reserves account.
3. The Housing Commission hereby recommends the approval of authorization to staff to
distribute a Request for Proposal for contractual staff assistance to administer the City of
Carlsbad’s Section 8 Family Self-Sufficiency Program.

PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Housing
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California held on the 9th day of June, 1994, by the
following vote to wit:
AYES: Commissioners: Scarpelli, Avis, Sato, Calverley,
NOES: None.
Escobedo & Noble.
ABSENT: Commissioners: Wellman & Rombotis.
