HOUSING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 95-004
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE SUBMITTAL
THE CITY'S COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCKGRANT PROGRAM TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the Housing Commission of the City of Carlsbad,
OF THE 1995-2000 CONSOLIDATED STRATEGY AND PLAN FOR
California, at a public hearing held on May 11, 1995,
considered the Consolidated Strategy and Plan for the City's
Community Development Block Grant program;
WHEREAS, the Housing Commission of the City of Carlsbad,
California recommends approval of the submittal of the 1995-
2000 Consolidated Strategy and Plan for the City's Community
Development Block Grant program to the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is committed to continuing
to provide affordable housing in the City for low income
households as outlined in the Housing Element of the General
Plan and in the Consolidated Strategy and Plan, a five year
plan required by HUD to assist in the increase and
preservation of affordable housing and to meet the non-housing
community development needs of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is committed to continuing
to provide a suitable living environment and to expand
economic opportunities for the City's low-income residents as
is also outlined in the Consolidated Strategy and Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Housing
Commission as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.

2. The Housing Commission recommends approval of the
submittal of the 1995-2000 Consolidated Strategy and Plan for
the Community Development Block Grant program as presented at
the public hearing on May 11, 1995.
3. The Housing Commission hereby recommends approval
for the Housing and Redevelopment Director to execute
documents required for the submittal of said Document.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Housing Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held
on the 11th day of May, 1995, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Vice-Chairperson Calverley, Commissioners:
Escobedo, Noble, Rose, Sat0 & Scarpelli.
NOES : None.
ABSENT: Chairperson Avis, Commissioners: Rombotis & Wellman.
ABSTAIN: None.
