HOUSING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 95-006
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A RENTAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM
APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE RESHIDENTIAL REHABILITATION AGREEMENT FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF SUCH PROGRAM BY THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO.
WHEREAS, the City Council on February 8, 1994, approved
establishment of the Carlsbad Residential Rehabilitation Program;
and
FOR MULTI-FAMILY DWELLINGS, AND RECOMMENDING
WHEREAS, there exists a need within the City of Carlsbad
to assist property owners with rehabilitation of their multi-family
dwellings; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes it to be in the best
interest of the citizens of Carlsbad to provide an agency to
administer a rental rehabilitation program for eligible property
owners; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the County of San Diego
has the expertise, staff and resources to enable it to implement
and administer all aspects of a Rental Rehabilitation Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Housing
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The Housing Commission hereby recommends approval of
a Rental Rehabilitation Program for owners of multi-family units
and recommends approval of the amendment to the Residential
Rehabilitation Agreement between the City and the County of San
Diego to include the technical assistance for administration of the
Rental Rehabilitation Program.

3. The Housing Commission hereby recommends approval of
an agreement with the Housing Authority of the County of San Diego
to provide technical assistance to implement and administer the
Rental Rehabilitation Program forthe period beginning June 1, 1995
to September 30, 1996.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Housing Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on
the 11th day of May, 1995, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Vice-Chairperson Calverley, Commissioners:
Escobedo, Noble, Rose, Sat0 & Scarpelli.
NOES : None.
ABSENT: Chairperson Avis, Commissioners: Rombotis f Wellman.
ABSTAIN : None.
