HOUSING COMMISSION RES0 LUTION NO. 95-007
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY
COUNCIL DECLARE ITS INTENTION TO PARTICIPATE WITH
OTHER LOCAL JURISDICTIONS IN THE NORTH SAN DIEGO
COUNTY COASTAL REGION TO ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF
HOMELESS PERSONS AND FAMILIES ON A REGION WIDE BASIS.
WHEREAS, addressing the needs of homeless persons and families transcends
jurisdictional boundaries;
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to address the needs of its homeless
persons and families within it jurisdictional boundaries; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to cooperate with other local
jurisdictions in the North San Diego County Coastal region to address the needs of
homeless persons and families;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Housing
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That the Housing Commission hereby recommends that the City Council
declare its intention to participate and cooperate with other local
jurisdictions in the North San Diego County Coastal region to address the
needs of homeless persons and families on a region wide basis.
That the Housing Commission encourages the adoption of similar
declarations of intention by the city officials of its regional neighbors, the
cities of Oceanside, Vista, and Encinitas and by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of San Diego.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Housing
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, on the 13th day of July, 1995, by the
following vote, to wit:
