HOUSING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2005-003
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE
(PHA) PLANS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005 AND AUTHORIZATION TO
SUBMIT TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT
CARLSBAD 5-YEAR AND ANNUAL PUBLIC HOUSING AGENCY
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Department administers the Section 8
Tenant-Based Rental Assistance Program for the City of Carlsbad’s Public Housing Agency (PHA);
and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has issued
regulations requiring PHAs to submit 5-Year and Annual Plans consistent with the City of
Carlsbad’s Consolidated Plan and local objectives; and
WHEREAS, federal regulations provide that the 5-Year and Annual Plans must be adopted
by the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Agency and submitted to the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Housing Commission of the
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
I. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. That based on the information provided within the Housing Commission Staff Report,
the Housing Commission ADOPTS Resolution No. 2OO5-001, recommending to the
Housing and Redevelopment Commission APPROVAL of the Carlsbad 5-Year and
Annual PHA Plans for Fiscal Year 2005 and authorization to submit to the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development.

3. The Housing Commission hereby recommends that the Housing and Redevelopment
Director be authorized to execute all appropriate documents required for the submittal of
said 5-Year and Annual PHA plan^.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED, at a meeting of the Housing Commission of the
City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 24th day of March 2005, by the following vote, to wit:
