HOUSING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2014-002
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPR VAL ; OF THE
CARLSBAD ANNUAL PUBLIC HOUSING AGENCY (P A) PLAN FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2014 AND ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN AND
AUTHORIZATION TO SUBMIT TO THE U.S. DEP RTMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the Housing & Neighborhood Services Departm nt adrhinisters the Section 8
I
Rental Assistance Program for the City of Carlsbad's Public Housing gency 1 (PHA); and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban De elopJent (HUD) has issued
regulations requiring PHAs to submit 5-Year and Annual Plans onsistent with the City of
!
Carlsbad's Consolidated Plan and local objectives; and
!
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban D veloptnent requires that the
PHA revise the Administrative Plan to comply with HUD require ents j and changes in local
policies; and
WHEREAS, federal regulations provide that the 5-Y e and Annual Plans and
Administrative Plan must be adopted by the Board of Commissioner of th~ Housing Agency and
submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by th Housing Commission of the
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. That based on the information provided within the Housi g Commission Staff Report,

the Housing Commission ADOPTS Resolution No. 201 002, recommending to the

The Housing Commission hereby recommends that the Housing & Neighborhood Services
Director be authorized to execute all appropriate documents required for the submittal of said
Annual PHA Plan.
PASS ED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a special meeting of the Housing
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 13th ay of March 2014, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: lgoe, Kirk and Smith
NOES: None
ABSENT: Bradwell and Andrews
ABSTAIN: None
