RLSOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIHXCTORS OF
ING ITS INTE€JTIOU TO PROCEED WITH A BOND ISSUE TO CONSTRUCT WATZR LINES FRObi THE AQUEDUCT
CAKLSBAD WNICIPAL WATdR OISTRICT DECLBR-
'UJHEFIEAS, there is an emergency existing that makes
it imperative that Colorado River water be procured
by Carlsbad separately by June 1956, and
WHEFLEAS, The City of Oceanside will not be able to
extend the current contract beyond June 1956; and
WHERZAS, there is no other adequate source of supply
within the foreseeable future; and
YHEREAS, The San Diego County Water Authority cannot
build a line within the time limit; and
WHEREAS, if the Authority does make provision for re-
payment of part of cost,the lines constructed may be
adjusted accordingly;
NOW, THEF'L3FORE, BE IT RESOLIGD, that the Board of Di-
rectors of Carlsbad Nunicipal Water District, proceed
with a bond issue to construct water lines from the
Aqueduct along the lines of Chart 4 as submitted by
Boyle Engineering showing Schematic Carlsbad 14unicipal
Water District System; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the question of authoriza-
tion be requested for the purpose of possible reservoir
construction and acquisition of exishlng facilities and
line extension be considered at a subsequent meeting
of this Board.

Thereupon, upon motion of Director Rogers, seconded by Director
Ewald the above Resolution was adopted.
