The Board of Directors of Carlsbad ivIunici a1 Water District DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE, DECL 3iR E AND ORDER as follows: Section 1, That this Board of Directors finds and declares that this Board deems it necessary for said district to incur bonded indebtedness in the amount and for the purpose herein- after stated and hereby calls and orders a Special Municipal Water District Election to be held in said district on the 23rd day of August, 1955, for the purpose of authorizing said bonded indebtedness to be incurred, Section 2, That the purpose for which the proposed debt is to be incurred is the acquisition and construction of a water-works system, including water rights, lands, rights and privileges, water supply conduits, pipelines, reservoirs, works, machinery and other property useful and necessary to store, convey, supply or otherwise make use of water for the benefit of the district. Section 3. That the amount of debt to be incurred is the That the maximum term the bonds principal sum of $1,956,000, proposed to be issued shall run before maturity is forty years, and the maximum rate of interest to be paid on said bonded indebtedness shall not exceed five per cent (5%) per annum, payable annually for the first year and thereafter semiannually. Section 4. That the measure to be submitted to the voters shall be substantially as stated in the form of ballot here- inafter set forth in this resolution. That if more than two-thirds of the votes of the the qualified electors voting at said election are in favor of and assent to the incurring of such indebtedness, bonds of said district in not exceeding the principal amount stated herein shall be issued and sold for the purpose set forth herein. Section 5. That the polls for said election shall be opened at seven o’clock A, M,, of the day of said election and shall remain open continuously from said time until seven o’clock P.M., of the same day, when said polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section 5734 of the Elections Code of the State of California, Section 6. That on the ballots to be used at said special election, in addition to any other matters required by law, there shall be printed substanially the following: MARK CROSS (X) ON BALLOT ONLY WITH RUBBER STAMF’; NEVER WITH PEN OR PENCIL.
