A KESOLUTI N OF'THE BOAHD OF DIRECT RS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT FIXING THE TAX RATE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1955-56.~

WH2SEAS, Section 24 of the Municipal Water District Act of
1911 provides that the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Muni-
cipal Water District shall determine the amount of money neces-
sary to be raised by taxation during thepfiscal year 1955-19561
and that said Board fix a rate of tax to be levied which will
raise the amounts of money required by the District during said
fiscal year to meet the payments of the principal and interest
on any and all bonds of the District, and fix a rate of tax to
be levied which will raise such amounts of money as may be re-
quired for all other District purposes; and
WHEKEAS, the District is required to certify to the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Diego, California, the rate so fixed, and furnish said Board of Supervisors a statement in writing setting forth an estimate of the minimum amount of money required to be raised by taxation during said fiscal year 1955-1956, and direct said Board of Supervisors that at the time and in the manner required by law for the levying of taxes for County purposes such Board of Supervisors shall levy, at the
rate so fixed and determined by this Board, a tax upon all of the
property within the Carlsbad Municipal Water District; and
WHEKEAS, the County Auditor of the County of San Diego has under date of August 22f1955, certified to the Treasurer of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District the assessed valuation of all property within the Carlsbad Municipal Water District as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San
Diego, subject to taxation by said District for the fiscal year July 1, 1955 to June 30, 1956; and J
WHEKEAS,lthe Carlsbad Municipal Water District does not
have any outstandinb bonded indebtedness; and
'iVHEIiEAS, the District has and will have other debts and obligations becoming due and payable durinb the fiscal year 1955-1956 incurred and to be incurred for the purpose of
carrying on the operations of the District, which the Board of
Directors of the District has found and hereby finds cannot be met from the anticipated revenues of the District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad
Municipal Water District hereby determines that the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation during the fiscal year 1955-1956 for all purposes of the District is $34,372.25.
SECTION 2. That to raise said amounts of money required by the District during the fiscal year 1955-1956 the Board of
Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District hereby fixes
the rate of tax to be levied for the fiscal year 1955-1956 at ! c.22+ for each @.OO.OO of assessed valuations as said valuation is shown on the original assessment roll for the County of San Diego.
SECTION 3. That the Board of Directors hereby directs that
at the time and in the manner required by law for the levying of taxes for County purposes, the Board of Supervisors of San
Diego County,California,shall levy in addition to such other tax as may be levied by said Board of Supervisors a tax for the Carls-
bad Municipal Water District at the rate so fixed and determined by the Board of Directors of this district in this resolution, to
Oith: Twenty-two cents (3.22) on each one hundred dollars of as-
sessed valuation of taxable property as shown on the original as-
sessment roll of San Diego County, upon all the property within
the Carlsbad Municipal Water District; and it is made the duty of the officer or body having authority to levy taxes in said County to levy the tax so required. bA w.Et2&
