T. WING TO RE VIEW THE BO= E3JGINEERING REPORT AND MAKE REX-NDATIOE. WHEREAS, the citizens, tax payers and residents of the Carlsbad MCipal Water District have indicated their desire to have the Boyle Engineering Report rg. viewed by an independent engineer, and to have said independent engineer make re- commendations to this District relative to the advisability and feasibility of con= structing transmission lines and reservoir sites in locations other than those re- viewed in the Boyle report; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad &micipal Water District have investigated and reviewed the qualifications of a number of independent engin- eers suggested by Carlsbad residents and the Citizens' Water Committee, as 8 result of said investigation, are satisfied that &. S. T. kding of Berkeley, C,lifornia, is a competent engineer well qualified to review the kyle report and to examiSe and report on other locations for transmission lines and reservoir sites, and are satisfied that he will undertake such employment on terms satisfactory to the District; - 1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Carlsbad Municipal Water District employ Mr. S, T. Harding to examine the Boyle Engineering Report and such alternative transmission lines and reservoir sites as may be suggested to him by the bard of Directors or by the Citizens' Water Committee, said employment to be at a rate not to exceed the sum of Fifteen-hundred Dollars (~l,~O.OO) to be paid from the Contingent Fund; and PROVIDED that Mr. S, T. Harding agrees to accept employment on such terms and to deliver his report to the Board of Directors on or before February lst, 1956.
