RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CBRLSRAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT DECLARING THE NECEQlSITY FOR INCURRING A BONDED INDEBTEb
NESS TO BE PAYABLE FROM TAXES LEVIED UWN LESS THAN ALL OF THE
DlSTRICT AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING AND GMNG NOTICE
OF HEAFUNG.
WHEBEAS, the bard of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
deems it necessary for the district to incur a bonded indebtedness to be payable
from taxes levied upon less than all of the district,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DJCTERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1, That it is deemed necessary for said district to incur a bonded
indebtedness, to be payable from taxes levied upon less than all of the district for
the purpose of
the acquisition and construction of a water transmission pipeline with ap-
purtenances and appurtenantworks from the facilities of the San Diego
County Water Authority located in the San Morcos, Escondido Area (at a
point to be approved by the San Diego County Water Authority) to a point within the Carlsbad Municipal Water District east of Highlaal Avenue, in- cluding works, machinery ami other property (including lands and easements)
useful and necessary to store, convey, supply and otherwise make use of water for the lads and inhabitants within a portion of said Carlsbnd Mun-
icipal Water District, and including expenses of all proceedings for the
authorization, issuance and sale of the bonds.
Section 2, That the amount of the proposed debt to be incurred fur which
boas are to be issued therefor is the sum of $1,350,m0
Section 3. That this Board intds to form an improvement district of a
portion of the district which in the opinion of the Board will be benefited, the
exterior baundaries of which portion are set forth on a map on file with the Sec- retary of the district, which map shall govern for all details as to the extent of
the proposed improvement district, and to call an election in such proposed improve- ment district on a date to be fixed, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified
voters thereof the proposition of incurring indebtedness by the issuance of bonds
of the district for said improvement district.
Section 4. That taxes for the payment of said bonds and the interest there- on shall be levied exclusively upon the taxable property in the improvement district,
Sectim 5. That a general description of the proposed improvement, together
with a map showing the exterior bounlaries of said proposed improvement district with
relation to the territory immadiately contiguous thereto ami to the poposed improve- ment is on file with the Secretary of the district and is available for inspection
by any person or persons interested.
Section 6, That Wednesday the 5th day of September, 1956, at the hour of 7:30
o'clock P.M,, on said day, is hereby fixed as the time, and the meeting place of the Board of Directors of CARLSAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT at the Carlsbad City Hall,
2960 €30 Pic0 Boulevard, CarlsW, California, is hereby fixed as the place for a hearing by the Board of Directors of said district on the questions of the formation
of said proposed improvement district, the extent thereof, the proposed improvement
and the amount of debt to be incurred.

Section 7, That the Secretary of the Board of Directors is hereby ordered
and directed to cause notice of said hearing to be given by publishing a copy of this
resolution at least once each week for two weeks prior to the time for said hearing above stated in the THE CARLSBAD JOURNAL and by posting a copy of this resolution at least two weeks before the time fixed for said hearing in six public places within
the proposed improvement district,
