RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIKECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT

TtlWXEAS, at the time and place fixed for the opening of bids on the Arter-
System for Improvement district No. I, Unit A-2, said bids were properly ial Water
opened, examined and read and referred to the District's engineer, Boyle Engineering,
for a report on the lowest acceptable bid; and
WHEREAS, Boyle Ehgineering has examined said bids and made a report to the
Board of lnrectors; and
WHEREAS, said Board of Directors determines that it is to the best interests
of the District to award the contract for construction of said Arterial IJater System,
Unit A-2;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad
Municipal Tater District does hereby resolve, determine and award as follows:
Section 1. That the bid of Mutual Pipeline & Construction Company, in the
amount of $237,631.70 (Schedule 1-C) for Arterial \!ater System for Improvement District
No. 1, Unit A-2, is the lowest bid for said Unith-2; and that the bid of Einer Erothers,
Inc., in the amount of $238,153.00 (Schedule LC) is the next lowest bid for said Unit
A-2. Said bid of $237,631.70 is hereby accepted and the contract awarded to ktua.1
Pipeline &: Construction Company; all other bids are rejected and the deposits made by
said bidders ordered returned with the exception of the bid of Einer Brothers, Inc.,
next; lowest z;?d best bid and r:hich shall be rejected and returned when Nutual Pipeline
& Construction Company executes the cmtract and qualified.
Section 2. That the President and Secretary of the Board of Directors are
hereby authorized to execute the necessary cmtracts on behalf or' and in the name of
the Carlsbad Municipal ilater District.
