R;ESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIFBCTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT APPROVING
PLAWS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOX 'WA'ITR SYSTEM FOR IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. PIPELINES" FOR THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATFR DISTRICT, SAN DIEGO COUNTY,

FORNIA, AND NOTICE INVJTIPG SEALED BIDS OR PROFOSALS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SAID FACILITIES
AND DIRECTING FTBLICATION OF THE NOTICE INVITING SEALED BIDS OR PROPOSALS.
WHEREAS, The Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District has heretofore -
I declared and ascertained that it is to the best interest of Improvement District No. 2 I
of said water district, its citizens, taxpayers and residents, that a water distribution
system be acquired and constructed for the sale, distribution and storage of water by
the Carlsbad Municipal Water District for Improvement District No. 2; and
WHElEAS, Boyle Engineering has submitted to the said Board of Directors plans en-
titled "Carlsbad Municipal Water District, San Mego County, California, Construction Plans for 'dater System for Improvement District No. 2, Unit A - Pipelines"; and
WIIEREAS, Boyle Engineering has submitted to the said Board of Directors a document
entitled "Carlsbad Municipal Water District, San Diego County, California, Contract
Documents and Construction Specifications, Water System for Improvement District No. 2,
Unit A - Pipelines, February, 195811, which contains Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals
(Bids) , Information for Bidders, Non-Collusion affidavit, Bid Form, Designation of
sub contractors, Agreement, Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Labor and Material Bond, Stand-
ard Provisions, Detail Specifications, and Standard Specifications; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors, after a thorough study of said plans and said
documents, and the needs and resources of the Improvement District No. 2, believe that it is advisable that the work outlined in said plans and documents be commenced as soon as practicable;
NOW THEREFORE, The Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT does - hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER 85 follows:
1. District No. 2, Unit A - Pipelines for the Carlrsbad Municipal Water District having been
presented to the Board of Directors are hereby approved.
The plans and specifications for the construction of a Water System for Improvement
2. plans, contract documents and construction specifications with the date of the adoption
of this resolution and file the said documents among the permanent records of the District.
The Executive Secretary is hereby directed to initial and date each page of said
3. A form of notice entitled llNotice Inviting Sealed Proposals (Bids) for the construc-
tion of Water System for Improvement District No. 2, Unit A - Pipelines, for the Carls-
bad Municipal Water District, San Diego County, Californian, having been presented to
the Board of Directors is hereby approved.
4. That the Secretary of the Board is hereby authorized and directed to publish the
notice inviting such sealed proposals once in the CARLSBAD JOURNAL, a newspaper of gen-
eral circulation, circulated within said district, said publication to be at least ten
(10) days prior to the date of opening bids stated in said notice.

The foregoing Resolution numbered 72 was duly and regularly passed and adopted
at an adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal
Water District held the 19th of February, 1958, with a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Directors Ewald, Fry, Kelly, Rogers, Greek
