RESOLUTION (IF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUHICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
AWARDING CONTRACT FOR WATER SYSTEM FOR IMF'ROVEHENT DISTRICT NO. 2 UNIT 'An - PIPELIBES
WHEREAS, on March 17, 1958 at 4tOO P.M., at the office of the District at 29@ Pis Pica Drive, Carlsbad, California, the time and place fixed for the
opening of bids on the Water System for Improvement District No, 2, Unit "Aw -
Pipelines, said bids were properly opened, exandned and read, and referred to the District's Engineer, Boyle mglneering, for a report on the lowest acceptable bid;
and
WHEREAS, Boyle Engineering have extualned said bids and made a report to
the Board; and

UHEREAS, the Board debmined that it is to the best interests of the
to award the contract for the construction of the Water System for Imp District NO. 2, Unit 'A" - Pi~lin~~,
HOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRFGTaRS OF THE CESBAD MUNICIPAL WA'ER
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND AWARD AS FOUCMS:
1. That the Md of SIERRA PIPELINE 4% CONSTRUCTION CO., a partnership, in the amount of $1'75,758.65 -der Sohedule ZS is the lowest bid for the Construu=
tion of said water system for Improvement District No. 2, Unit "Aw - Pipelines and
that the next lowest bid for said water system bid of Einer Brothers, Inc, in the mount of $176,308.00, under Schedule 14 is the next lowest bid for said water
system for Improvement District b. 2, Unit "An - Pipelines,
2. That the bid of SIERRA PIPELIIVE & CONSTRUCTION CO., in the amount
of $175,758.65 for the construction of water system for Improvement District No.
2, Unit nAn, - Pipellass, under Schedule 1*S is hereby accepted, and the contra& awarded to SIERRA PIPELINE & CONSTRUCTIOB CO.;
3, That all other bids are rejected and the deposit made by said bidders is ordered returned to said bidders, with the exception of the Md of EINER BROTHERS,
INC. which is the next lowest and best bid, which shall be rejected and returned when SIERRA PIPELINE & CONSTRUCTION CO. executes the contracts and qualified.
4. That the President and Secretary are hereby authorized to execute the necessary contracts on behalf of and in the name of the Carlsbad E4Enicipal Water District.
