WHEREAS, at 4:OO P.M., on Edarch 17, 1958, at the office of the Carlsbad Mcipal Water District at 2q60 Pi0 Pica Drive, Carlsbad, California, the tim and place fixed for the opening of bids on the construction of wakr system for Improve-
ment District No. 2, Unit "Bn - Resemir, said bids were properly opened, examined and read, and refemed to the District's Engineer, Boyle Engineering, for a report
on the lowest acceptable bid; and

de 11, is the next lowest bid for the ConstructiQa of said Unit "Bn - Resemoir,
That the Md of U. S, STEEL CORPORBTI~, CONSOUMTED WESTEW DIVISIOH in
the amount of $59,693.00 under Schedule IT, is hereby accepted, and the contract award-
ed to U. s. STEEL CORPORATION, CONSOLIDATED WESTERN DIVISION.

3. That all other bids are rejected and the deposit made by said biddms is
I ordered returned to said bidders, with the exception of the bid of CHICAGO BFUm &
IRON CO., which is the next lowest and best Md, which shall be rejected and returned when U. S. STEEL CORPORATION, CONSOLIDATED WESTERN DIVISION, executes the contracts and
qualifies.
4. That the President and Secretary are hereby authoriaed to sotecpte the
necessary contracts on behalf of and in the n8me of the Carlsbad Mmicipal Water District.
