A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SECRETARY OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT TO ACCEPT ANY DEEDS OR GRANTS CONVEYING ANY INTEREST OR EASEMENT UPON REAL ESTATE TU CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AND TO CONSENT TO THE RECORDATION OF SUCH DEEDS OR GRANTS ON BEHALF OF SAID DIS TRIC T .
WHEREAS, Section 27281, Government Code, State of California
provides that deeds or grants conveying any interest in or easement upon real
estate to a political corporation or governmental agency for public purposes shall
not be accepted for recordation without the consent of the grantee evidenced by its
certificate of acceptance attached to or printed on the deed or grant; and
WHEREAS, the said Section 278281 provides that a political
corporation or governmental agency by a general resolution may authorize an
officer or agent to accept and consent to such deeds or grants; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water
District desires to authorize the Secretary of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
and of the Board of Directors thereof to accept and consent to such deeds and grants.
NOW THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL DISTRICT DOES HEREBY FCESOLVE AND ORDER AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the Secretary of the Carlsbad Municipal, Water District
and of the Board of Directors thereof is hereby authorized to accept any deeds or
grants conveying any interest in or easement upon real estate to Carlsbad Municipal
Water District and to consent to the recordation of such deeds or grants on behalf
of said District.
2. That the Secretary of this Board is hereby authorized and
directed to record a certified copy of this resolution with the County Recorder of
San Diego County.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 17 tk- day of July, 1958.
