RESOLUTION QF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUMICLPAL WATER DISTRICT DETERRUINING THE AMOUNTS NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION IN THE CARLSBAD lMUMCIPAL WATER DISTRICT, INIPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AND IMPROVE- MENT DISTRICT NO. 2 OF THE CARLSBAD MUMCIPAL WATER DISTRICT DURLNG THE FISCAL YEAR COMIkENCING JULY 1,1958,
AND ENDING JUNE 30, l@,%8, AND FMING THE FtATES OF TAX TO BE LBVIED FOR SUCH FISCAL YEAR.
WHEREAS, Section 24, of the Municipal -Water District Act of 1911, as
amended, provides that the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal
Water Distrkt shall determine the amounts necessary to be raised by taxation
during the fiscal year sand that the Board of Directors shall fix the rates of
tax to be levied whi-ch raise the amounts of money required by the district; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal -Water
District are requid to certify to the Board of Supervisors of the County of
San Diego the rate or rates so fixed and shall furnish to the said Board of
Supervisors a statement in writing containing the following:
(a) An estimate of the minimum amount of money required to be raised
by taxation during the fiscal year %r the payment of the principal of
and interest on any bonded debt of the district or an improvement
district thereof afii will become due before the proceeds of a tax levied
at the next general tax levy will be available.
(b) An estimate of the minimum amount of money required to be
raised by taxation during the fiscal year for all other purposes of the
district.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Municipal Water District did exclude certain
territory from its boundaries by Ordinance No. 7 of said district, which was
adopted on September 5 , 1956, and filed with the Secretary of State of State of
California on October 24, 1956; and
W?dEREAS, the said Secretary of State did on October 24, 1958, issue his
certificate of exclusion; a certified copy of which was filed with the County
Clerk of the County of San Diego on or about November 1, 1956; and
WHEFWAS, at the time of the aforementioned exclusion no bonded indebted

less existed against said excluded territory; and
WmREAS there have been duly formed within the boundaries of the
Zarlsbad Municipal Water District two improvement districts known as
inprovement District No. 1 of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District and
improvement District No. 2 of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District; and
WliIEREAS, there now exists a bonded indebtedness against both said
mprovement districts e
WHEREAS, in the judgment of the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Muni-
:ipal Water District the revenues of the d strict and the improvement districts
,herein will probably be inadequate to pay the principal and interest on the
ionded debt of the improvement districts therein and all other amounts set fort1
n Section 22, Municipal Water District Act of i911, as amended.
NOW THERXFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIEECTORS
DF THE CARLSBAD WNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of SAn Diego be furnished
vith the following statements:
a. That the Board of Mcectors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District
estimates that no monies are required to be raised by taxation during the
fiscal year commencing July 1, 1958, and ending June 30, 1959 for the
payment of principal and interest on any bonded debt of the Carlrabad
Municipal Water District.
b. That the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District
estimates that $ 10. QOO.00
taxation during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1958, and ending
June 30, 1959, for the payment of principal and interest on the bonded
indebtedness of Improvement District No. 1 of the Carlsbad Municipal
Water Ms tr ict .

for the payment of principal and interest on the bonded indebtedness of
Improvement District No. 2 of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District.

d. That the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District
estimates that $23, 000.00 is required to be raised by taxation during the
fiscal year commencing July I, 1958, and ending June 30, 1959, for all
other purposes of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District.
e. That theBoard of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal 'Water District
estimates that $23,500.00 is required to be raised by taxation during the
fiscal year commencing July 1, 1958, and ending Julie 36, IFEF, fcs all
other purposes of Improvement District No. 1 of the Carlsbad Municipal
Water District .
f. That the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District
estimates that no monies are required to be raised by taxation during
the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1958, and ending June 30, 1958, for
all other purposes of Improvement District No. 2, of the Carlsbad Muni-
cipal Water District.
2. That the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby determines that the amounts necessary to be raised by taxation during
the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1958, and ending June 30, 1959, are as
follows :
a. For Carlsbad Municipal Water District; $23, 000.00.
b. For Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
$10, 000.00 for payment of princjpal and
interest on the bonded debt of said im-
provement district;
$22,500.00 for all other purposes of said improvement district.
c. For Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District;
$6, 700.00 for payment of principal and interest on the bonded debt of said improvement district ;
None for all other purposes of said improve- ment district.
3. That the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby fixes the rates of taxes to be levied in the Carlsbad Municipal Water
District as follows:
a. For Carlsbad Municipal Water District:

(1) Nine cents ($. 09) for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all
properties within the boundaries of Carlsbad .Municipal Water District,
property within the boundaries of Improvement District No. 1 of the
Carlsbad Municipal Water District as such assessed valuations appear
on the last equalized assessment roll of the County Assessor of County
of San Diego, with such levy being made for bond retirement purposes.
(2) Nine cents ($. 09) for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all

on the last equalized assessment roll of the County Adsessor of County
of San Diego, with such levy being made for &her purposes of said
property within the boundaries of Improvement District No. 1 of the
Carlsbad Municipal Water District as such assessed valuations appear

(1) One Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50) for each $100.00 of assessed
valuation on all property within the boundaries of Improvement District
purposes.

5. That the Board of Diectors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby directs that the territory excluded from the Carlsbad Municipal Water
District under the provision of Ordinance 7 of said District shall not be subject
to taxation by the Carlsbad Municipal Water District or Improvement District
No. 1 thereof.
6. That the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby directs that this Resolution shall take effect immediately and shall be
effective for purposes of taxation during the fiscal year commencing July I,
1958, and ending June 30, 1959.
7. That the Secretary of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District is hereby
authorized and directed to forward three (3) certified copies of this resolution
to the Board of Supervisors of County of San Diego.
