RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR SANTA FE CHLORINATION STATION
AND AQUEDUCT CONNECTIONRlR IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 OF THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, SAN DIEGO COUNTY, STATE QF CALIFORNIA; AND
NOTICE INVITING SUED BIDS OR PROPOSALS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has heretofore declared and ascertained
c that it is to the best interests of Improvement District No. 1, its citizens, tax-
I payers and residents, that a chlorination station and aqueduct connection be
acquired and constructed for the distribution of water by the Carlsbad Municipal
Water District for Improvement District No. 1; and
WEIEW, Boyle Engineering has submitted to the Board of Directors at
this meeting a document entitled "Carlsbad Municipal Water District, San Diego
County, California, Contract Documents & Construction Specifications for Santa
Fe Chlorination Station & Aqueduct Connection, June 1959, which contains Notice
Inviting Sealed Proposals (Bids), Information for Bidders, Non-Collusion Affidavit,
Bid Form, Designation of Sub-contractors, Agreement, Bid Bond, Performance Bond,
Labor and Material Bond, Standard Provisions, Detail Specifications; and has sub-
mitted plans entitled "Carlsbad Municipal Water District, San Diego County,
California, Construction Plans for Santa Fe Chlorination Station & Aqueduct
Connection; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors, after a thorough study of said plans and said documents, and the needs and resources of the District and Improvement
District No. 1, believe that it is advisable that the work outlined in said plans
and documents be commenced as soon as practicable;
NW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said plans and said specifications
be and the same are hereby approved, and the Secretary of the District is hereby
authorized and instructed to cause a notice inviting sealed bids or proposals for
the construction of said Santa Fe Chlorination Station & Aqueduct Connection to
be given, and that said notice be published once in the Carlsbad Journal, a news-
paper of general circulation printed and published within the Carlsbad Municipal
Water District, said publication to be made on or before the 27th day of
June, 1959; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the form of said notice, entitled "Notice
Inviting Sealed Proposals (Bids) for the Construction of Santa Fe Chlorination
Station &Aqueduct Connection for the Carlsbad Municipal Water District, San Diego
County, California", a copy of said notice having been submitted to the Board at
this meeting, be and same is hereby approved, and the Secretary is instructed to
file a copy of said notice presented to the Board at this meeting arhong the
permanent records of the District; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLYED, that the Executive Secretary be, and she is
hereby, instructed to initial and date each page of the said contract documents
and construction specifications and file the same among the permanent records of
the District.
The foregoing resolution, numbered 96, was duly and regularly passed and
unanimously adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad
Municipal Water District held on the 16th day of June, 1959, with the following
Directors present:
EWALD, KELLY, CARNOHAN, GREEK.
ABSENT: COE.
