RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARISBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT ACKNOWLEDGING THE OUTSTANDING SERVICES RENDERED TO THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT BY MAX 0. EW..
I -. WHEREAS, HAX 0. EWALD, the duly elected director of the Board of Directors
of Carlsbad Municipal Water District from Division Three resigned as a director
on Junel6, 1959; and
WHEREAS, MAX 0. EWALD has served as a director of the Board of Directors
of Carlsbad Municipal Water District since the formation of the district on
l'larch 22, 1954; and
WHEREAS, as a member of the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water
District MAX 0. EWALD participated actively in the planning, bond program and
construction program which resulted in the Carlsbad Municipal Water District
completing a main transmission water system to secure Colorado River water for
the inhabitants of Carlsbad Municipal Water District and to insure to the
district and its inhabitants a guaranteed source of water; and
WHEREAS, the actions of MAX 0. EMALD as a member of the Board of Directors
of Carlsbad Municipal Water District has insured the future growth and prosperity
of this area by developing a guaranteed source of water and thereby has performed
an outstanding community service; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District desire to recognize the outstanding services contributed by MAX 0. EWALD in establishing
the Carlsbad Municipal Water District operation as it exists today; 7
NOW THER&FORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF C&USB&I MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT AS FOLLOWS:

1. That the Board of Directors hereby desire to publicly recognize excellent,
energetic and intelligent service which MAX 0. EUAT.,D has rendered as a member of
the Board of Directors to the Carlsbad Municipal Water District and to the
inhabitants thereof.
2. That the Board of Directors feel that the earnest efforts and untiring
devotion of MAX 0. EWALD to the performance of his duties as a member of the
Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District have greatly contributed
to the development of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTJ3D by the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District on the 30th day of June, 1959.
